LEEDS VICTORIA GATE SHOPPING CENTRE

We work with a wide variety of clients – large and small – and our work ranges from fitting out shops on the High Street to working with retailers in shopping centres. It is a great pleasure to work with such a well-known and established brand, The White Company. Following on from completing works as Principal Contractor in their Buchanan Street, Union Square Shopping Centre, Aberdeen and Edinburgh stores we have just completed their new opening in The Victoria Gate Shopping Centre, Leeds.

The White Company specialises in supplying stylish, white, designer, quality items for the home that are of exceptional quality but also outstanding value for money. Today, the company that began its working life as a 12-page mail-order brochure has become one of the UK’s fastest-growing, award-winning multi-channel retailers.

By applying our modern techniques, traditional craftsmanship and timeless standards, we fitted out their store in Leeds new Victoria Quarter. Our works incorporated the full fit out of a shell unit in a new high end shopping centre. Working closely with landlords, developers, Quadrant Design and the Clients PM team we delivered a fantastic retail environment implementing The White Company Standard Details and bespoke items of joinery manufacture. Barbour Fit Out Specialists was the Principal Contractor and coordinated the entire turn key operation.

Our specialist fit out team worked to project manage and deliver the ‘must haves’ within this high-specification store, which included essentials for any store, such as a lift, sprinklers, fire alarm, CCTV ,intruder alarm, music, tagging, specialist lighting packages, Barrisol ceilings, specialist plaster, hardwood, limestone, ceramic and sisal flooring, feature plasterboard ceilings and columns and entire back of house packages to include storage solutions and staff welfare.

We also took delivery and fitted client supplied wall cabinets, cash desks and merchandise equipment.

We are particularly proud of the bespoke steel staircase clad entirely in oak, feature spindles and oak handrails.
